Reverend Dr. Stacey Cole Wilson, worshiper, pastor, teacher, wife, mother, Professional Leadership Coach, youth-advocate, and award winning author, is the Lead Pastor of Good Hope Union United Methodist Church located in Silver Spring, Maryland.  Before coming to Good Hope Union, Dr. Wilson served as the Lead Pastor of Mount Winans United Methodist Church in Baltimore and as the Associate Pastor of Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church in Linthicum, Maryland.

She has received national acclaim as a lectionary writer for the Board of Global Ministries and for her prayers and litanies published in the award winning Africana Worship Book.  She is the Founder of the Dare to Dream Project Baltimore, a Board Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore, a member of the Wesley Theological Seminary Board of Governors (serving on the Investment and Campaign Readiness Committees), a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Ordained Ministry and serves as the Provisional Member Registrar for the Board of Ordained Ministry. Pastor Stacey earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Morgan State University and worked professionally as a Senior Analytical Chemist specializing in Petroleum and Materials Characterization via Mass Spectrometry, X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). She has earned a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary with an emphasis on Collaborative Community-Church Partnerships. She is a distinguished Lewis Fellow, Lewis Community Leaders Fellow, Transition in Ministry (TiM) Excellence Fellow, and one of fifty students selected nationwide twice to participate in the Joe Engle Institute of Preaching and in the Engle Roundtable at Princeton Theological Seminary in NJ. She is the proud daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cole, the sister of two, the auntie of six nephews, the wife of International Music Producer and Pastor Wayne Wilson, and the mother of two great joys in her life, Ava and Christian Wilson. Furthermore, she is your sister in Christ who is here to celebrate the goodness of God with you and to witness of God wonders at work even now!

Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
God does not faint or grow weary;
God's understanding is unsearchable.
29 God gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless.
30 Even youths will faint and be weary,
and the young will fall exhausted;
31 but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint. -Isaiah 40:28-31, NRSV

Ministry Intern

Caprice Brown

Send Email

Caprice Brown, a daughter of Christ and candidate for the Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington, D.C.), has graciously joined us as our Student Ministry Intern. She is a mother, wife, daughter and friend who has a passion for God and an incredible heart for ministry. She comes to us after years of vital ministry in Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Lanham, Maryland under the pastoral leadership and mentorship of The Rev. Mark D. Venson.

Caprice is a Certified Candidate for Ordained Ministry in the United Methodist Church.  She is currently a part-time student at Wesley Theological Seminary.  She is studying to earn a Master of Divinity degree and is pursuing the order of Elder.

Caprice is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University located in Greensboro, NC, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.  She is currently employed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) as a Senior Program Analyst.

Last but not least, Caprice has been married to Angelo Brown for over fifteen years.  By their union, they have been blessed by a beautiful daughter, Angela Jewel, who is in the seventh grade.
Caprice’s favorite Bible verse is:  Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) which says:  “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Please help us to welcome her into this house of prayer, to pray for and with her and her family, and to give God thanks for her life and ministry.
