  • JOIN US FOR 40 DAYS OF PRAYER (FEB. 10 - MAR. 26, 6-6:15 AM, 8-8:15 AM)

    Join us on the prayer line as we observe a holy Lent: by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's Holy Word. For 40 days (except Sundays), we will unite in prayer from 6-6:15 AM and 8-8:15 PM to meditate on God's WORDS to us and our words of praise and thanksgiving to God. Join us, listen in and be led in prayer by various persons of various ages who beleive that God's promises are REAL and shall come to pass!   • FAIR HOUSING POSTER CONTEST: DEADLINE FEB. 22, 2016

    This year’s theme:
    “Dreams Come True With Fair Housing”
    Deadline for entries is: Monday, February 22, 2016

    Applications are available in the school office along with 
    contest rules and deadlines. Open to children between 
    kindergarten and 8th grade.
    Winning student’s posters will be featured in a Fair Housing Calendar distributed statewide. Winners will also be 
    honored at a reception at the State House in Annapolis

    Beloved, we want to celebrate the gift of God's salvific love (salvation) with you!   • Meals On Wheels

    Colesville Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver meals in the North-Eastern Silver Spring area to those who, due to an ailment are unable to cook. Anyone who has some spare time and would like to help our fellow citizens, please call Mrs. Day at 301-384-5735. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The United Methodist 2005-2008 Guidelines for Finance states, "The job of the Committee on Finance is to identify, perfect, and manage the finance system for the congregation."  The Finance Committee of Good Hope Union UMC continues to be responsible stewards in managing and dispersing all funds necessary to carry out the mission and vision of the church.  Members are encouraged to make the commitment to keep tithing to support various ministries and contribute to the growth of God's kingdom. 

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be food in my house....." Malachi 3:10
